Frandsen takes tough stance against incumbent's excesses
Temecula, CA - Grey Frandsen, Democratic Candidate for Assembly District 66, is releasing today an eight-part pledge that will guide his campaign and - if elected - time in elected office.
On the pledge:"We've been abiding by these principles from day one. Now I want voters to know that each of these points highlights major differences between me and my opponent." The full pledge:
I, Grey Frandsen, pledge the following to the voters of Assembly District 66:
1. I will continue to reject partisanship and "dirty politics". As a Democrat, I will work with Republicans, Independents, and others, putting aside partisanship and bitter party politics to focus on solutions to our problems. Period. I will work to build bridges, coalitions, and relationships to get work done for our District.
2. I will continue to remain open and accessible. At all times. People know they can reach me - at a town hall, over email, on the phone, or at any of our cost-free events.
3. I will not back down in my effort to defeat the Liberty Quarry proposal. Despite the money and the pressure being focused against our campaign because of my position, this issue is too important to shy away from. I've staked my campaign on defending our community - and that is what I intend to do.
4. I will continue my rejection of contributions from lobbyists or corporate entities.
5. I will hold 10 open town hall meetings per month, each month in office. These will be like the town halls I'm doing now - free, accessible, open, and focused on issues you care about.
6. I will NOT use limitless or unaccountable "perks" provided to politicians in Sacramento like the State Assembly gas card. I will also put online all of my expenditures made for purposes of representing District 66.
7. I will vote against any pay-raise in the Legislature.
8. I will not move to Sacramento. I will go there to vote and craft legislation, but my family and I will remain here at home in the District a majority of the time. Our children will attend school here. Supported by Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, Frandsen is running an issue-oriented campaign that is focused on the needs of working families throughout District 66. ###
